Marc is a horticulturist and a 1986 graduate of the Quebec School of Horticulture Le Fierbourg. He has worked for the National Battlefields Commission (NBC) and was responsible for the horticultural landscaping as well as the management of the urban forest in the Plains of Abraham.

During the 12th World Forestry Congress in Quebec City in 2003, he developed the design of the Canadian Emblem Trees Garden for the Plains of Abraham.

In 2006, he was part of the 7th Canadian Urban Forest Conference organizing committee. In 2007, the NBC was awarded a special five-bloom mention during the Communities in Bloom National Contest for its management of the urban forest. In cooperation with Communities in Bloom, Marc organized the 17th National Symposium on Parks & Grounds in Quebec City in October 2011.

In March 2012, Marc established his own horticultural consulting firm.
