Tree Canada COVID-19 Frequently Asked Questions

As the global COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve, Tree Canada is still working hard to grow better places to live.

Is Tree Canada open, are you working during COVID-19?

Although our physical office in Ottawa is closed to comply with the provincial requirement, we are all working remotely and available to respond to emails and phone calls.

Are you still accepting online orders?

Yes, our Tree Seed Kits, Tree Sleeves, Plant a tree in Canada and Tribute Trees are all available on our online shop.

Can you ship online orders to another address other than the person who is making the order?

Yes, we use Canada Post. This request can be specified in the online order.

How can I best support Tree Canada during this time?

You can make a donation, shop our tree products and services, and invite your family and friends to help us grow better places to live by sharing our social media posts and our website.

Is Tree Canada offering any spring planting grants?

There are currently two tree grants residents can apply for, see below for deadlines.
Residents who receive funding for their tree planting can choose to plant in the Fall of 2020 or by next year, Spring 2021.

Operation ReLeaf – Fort McMurray
Deadline to apply: June 15
Operation ReLeaf – Ottawa-Gatineau Tornadoes

Will there be any planting activities this spring?

We are all in good spirits and have welcomed spring. However, in order to comply with physical distancing and keep our staff and participants safe, Tree Canada is postponing scheduled Spring planting group events until this Fall. Our work to plant more trees for the National Greening Program will continue during Spring and Fall.

Can our company do a Partners in Planting activity this year?
