Bruce has been with Tree Canada for 5 years after 35 years working with the Nova Scotia Department of Natural Resources. He has worked extensively in operational forestry in the Province, both on crown lands and in private woodlot management. In the past several years, he coordinated education activities in the Western region of Nova Scotia working with various groups and organizations in many projects, employing many tools, including a weekly radio program. As well, Bruce has led special initiatives, including the St. Mary’s River Forestry Wildlife Project which was the precursor to the Model Forest Program across Canada. He has extensive experience volunteering with many organizations in his community. A Registered Professional Forester, Bruce is a past Chair of the N.S. Section  of the Canadian Institute of Forestry and is a past winner of the Section member of the year and the John Currie Education award. He resides in Kingston, in the beautiful Annapolis Valley.
