Ecologist and Registered  Professional Forester ( R. P. F.),  Bruce A Roberts is a former Sr. Research Scientist with the Canadian Forest Service for over 35 years and brings considerable academic, mapping and field experience to the Tree Canada team since 2009. He is the author & co- author of more than 200 publications in more than 20 different scientific journals and has presented ecological work at over 30 International Conferences. He has served on numerous Ecosystem Management Planning Teams in NL in most Management Districts including Labrador contributing his research knowledge related to forest ecology and the effects of forest harvesting but his work as Field Ecologist and Soil Scientist in leading field trips and with timely presentations has been one of his best contributions to operational forestry and sustainable forest and resource management. Bruce was also awarded the CIF Tree of Life award in 2007. Bruce is a native of Gros Morne Park, Western Newfoundland.
