Christine Earnshaw

For over twenty years, Christine has worked in several community, national and international development organizations in the fields of health, education, and the environment.

In 2017, she co-founded Tree Fest Ottawa, a community-based nonprofit organization that raises awareness of Ottawa’s urban forest through initiatives such as large-format photography exhibits and annual tree festivals. Recently, she was a Project Lead at SOUL, the Canadian Society for Organic Urban Landcare where she led the establishment of SOUL’s Greener Greenspaces program.

With a Master’s degree in Geography and Northern Studies, Christine is passionate about the natural world and public spaces and is actively involved in a community initiative to co-steward an ecologically significant park in her neighbourhood.
