Canada’s largest network of urban forestry experts

The Canadian Urban Forest Network (CUFN) is the largest network of urban forestry experts, academics and practitioners in the country. Created by Tree Canada, the network advocates for urban forests across Canada, under the guidance and leadership of the CUFN Steering Committee.

The CUFN comes together through research projects, conferences, and knowledge sharing and discussion on the CANUFNET listserv.


CUFN Purpose

  • Build value by helping and empowering those who practice urban forestry 
  • Bring together those who are interested in urban forestry 
  • Facilitate the exchange of information about urban forestry in Canada 
  • Increase awareness about the urgent issues facing Canada’s urban forests 
  • Lead and advocate for a Canadian Urban Forest Strategy  
  • Host the Canadian Urban Forest Conference
