Kim Statham
Providing strong, responsible and authentic leadership for the municipal government for over twenty-five years, Kim is the Director, Urban Forestry for the City of Toronto. In this position, she is responsible for leading the largest municipal strategy in the country to plan, protect and expand Toronto’s tree canopy. Kim is dedicated to tree equity, promoting nature-based solutions for climate resilience and fostering a connection between people and the natural environment. In 2024, she was elected as a Board Member for the International Society of Arboriculture, Ontario Chapter. She holds a seat on Parks Canada’s Rouge National Urban Park Advisory Committee, and is an active participant in multiple mentorship programs, including Sustainable Forestry Initiative’s Project Learning Tree. She earned a Master of Environmental Studies from York University and an Honours Bachelor of Environmental Science from the University of Guelph.
