Meryl Abrahams
Meryl has been making an impact with Tree Canada since October 2021 as Manager of Urban Programs. With a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Statistics and currently pursuing a Master’s in Urban Forest Leadership, Meryl combines data-driven thinking with a strong passion for greener cities.
Her journey into urban forestry began as a tree planter in Northern Ontario and as a camp counsellor in Algonquin Park. These early experiences sparked her deep connection to the outdoors and community-based environmental work.
At Tree Canada, Meryl supports urban greening initiatives that help cities thrive. Outside of work, she enjoys running, biking, swimming, and playing ultimate frisbee—all ways she stays connected to the outdoors she works to protect.
