Michael Petryk, ISA
Michael Petryk is an ISA Certified Arborist who has completed programs in resource management and arboriculture at Trent University, Sir Sandford Fleming College, and Humber College. He has a combined 15 years’ experience working with trees; with Conservation Authorities as a forest and water technician, for private firms as a climbing arborist, and as a consulting arborist. Mike is focused on brining the needs of municipal and community partners to the national level, to find opportunities to help solve challenges facing urban forest programs to create healthy sustainable forests where people live. He loves talking about the scientific and technical aspects of trees, and how they interact with our built environments. He carries certifications in Tree Risk Assessment Qualification, Tree Appraisal Qualification, Ecosystem Land Classification, and is a Butternut Health Assessor.
