Sylvia Jorge

Sylvia brings to Tree Canada her experience in community-level urban forest stewardship and expertise in environmental conservation grants across Canada.
She completed her Master of Forest Conservation at the University of Toronto and her Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Waterloo.
Her passion for the environment, and particularly for accessible greenspaces in urban settings, led her to the Growing Canada’s Community Canopies (GCCC) initiative at Tree Canada.
Her hobbies include spending time outdoors, hiking and cycling, and advancing her bird, mushroom and plant identification abilities. She is excited to contribute her skills and knowledge to the Tree Canada team.
