Viola Hoo

Viola Hoo joined Tree Canada as Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) in September 2023.

In this role as CAO, Viola is responsible for the overall management and direction on aspects related to Financial Services, Human Resources, Information Technology and administrative functions at Tree Canada.

Throughout her career, Viola has made significant contributions to both non-profit and profit organizations in sales & marketing, operations, finance, and change management. Viola credits her client and member focussed strengths to her roles at 3M Canada and then Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices. She played a pivotal role in membership engagement and digital transformation at the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada.

In addition to her Engineering Chemistry degree from Queen’s University, Viola has successfully completed an MBA at the Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario with a double focus on Management Accounting, and the Health and Life Sciences Sector. Her finance skills as a CPA CMA, and her skills in operations and change will be well utilized in Tree Canada’s growth strategy.

Growing up in North Bay, Ontario, Viola is an urban outdoor enthusiast. She led the green scaping and community hub project at her children’s elementary school, she has volunteered for both Scouts Canada and Girl Guides of Canada and is an avid dragon boat paddler out of the Rideau Canoe Club.

Viola is equally dedicated to her family. She resides in Ottawa with her husband, three teenagers and cats.
