Event Description

Celebrate National Tree Day by helping regenerate the forest in the Gorge Park!

The invasive Hemlock Woolly Adelgid (HWA) has infested the Gorge Park. While the Town has been completing treatments, some areas of the park have regressed and need new forest growth.

Come to the Gorge on Saturday, September 19th, 2026, at 10:00 am to enjoy a 2-hour forest regeneration planting workshop! Learn about the Acadian Forest, HWA, and native trees such as Red Oak, Yellow Birch, and White Pine.
