Event Description
Giving Kindness has adopted Jack Darling Memorial Park through the Adopt-a-Park program with the City of Mississauga and has been hosting monthly clean-ups throughout the Summer.
As it is located along the waterfront with access to Lake Ontario, this is one of the most popular and heavily frequented parks in Mississauga, especially during the Summer.
Many in the community enjoy picturesque picnics with a view of the Toronto skyline to the East. And just adjacent to this park, by walking a few minutes along the Waterfront Trail, there is Rattray Marsh Conservation Area. This is a more sensitive natural area that houses a wealth of biodiversity.
For this reason and more, it is so important to maintain these natural areas.
Much environmental preservation in urban parks is reliant on community efforts. So, we will be at this park doing what we can to keep our beautiful green spaces clean and thriving.
